Revenue Procedure 2009-21 modifies and supersedes sections of Rev. Proc. 2007-66 and Rev. Proc. 2008-66 to reflect amounts to be used in 2008 and 2009 for certain items under various provisions of the Code.  Under recent legislation, the amounts are in lieu of the inflation adjusted amounts normally required under those provisions. This revenue procedure contains, among other items, new amounts related to the Earned Income Tax Credit,  the Child Tax Credit, Qualified Transportation Fringe Benefits, and the American Opportunity Credit.
 
Revenue Procedure 2009-21 will be published in Internal Revenue Bulletin 2009-16 on April 20, 2009.
